1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the K-Scalp Training Institute ("KSTI") website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

2. Eligibility Requirements

Our certification programs are exclusively available to:

  • Licensed estheticians with valid state licensure
  • Licensed cosmetologists with valid state licensure
  • Licensed massage therapists with valid state licensure
  • Spa and salon owners with appropriate business licenses
  • Other licensed beauty professionals as approved by KSTI

You must provide proof of valid professional licensure prior to program enrollment. KSTI reserves the right to verify credentials and deny enrollment if requirements are not met.

3. Enrollment and Payment

Registration: All enrollments are subject to availability and approval. Submission of an enrollment application does not guarantee acceptance into a program.

Payment Terms:

  • KAT Technician Certification: $497 (1-day program)
  • KAT Master Certification: $1,497 (3-day program)
  • Payment in full is required at the time of enrollment unless alternative payment arrangements have been pre-approved
  • All prices are in USD and subject to change without notice

Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations made 30+ days before the program start date: Full refund minus $50 processing fee
  • Cancellations made 15-29 days before: 50% refund
  • Cancellations made less than 15 days before: No refund
  • No-shows or incomplete programs: No refund

4. Certification and Credentials

Certification Requirements: To receive your KAT certification, you must:

  • Attend all scheduled training sessions
  • Complete all practical demonstrations and assessments
  • Demonstrate competency in all required techniques
  • Maintain professional conduct throughout the program

Use of Certification: Upon successful completion, you may represent yourself as KAT Certified. However, you may not:

  • Claim affiliation with KSTI beyond your certification status
  • Use KSTI trademarks or logos without written permission
  • Provide KAT training to others unless you hold a Master Certification and have received explicit authorization

5. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, techniques, and methodologies provided during KSTI programs are proprietary and protected by intellectual property laws. You agree that:

  • Training materials are for your personal professional use only
  • You will not reproduce, distribute, or sell any KSTI materials
  • You will not record (audio or video) any training sessions without written permission
  • Korean Authentic Technique (KAT) methodologies are proprietary to KSTI

6. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

  • Maintain professional behavior and respect for instructors and fellow participants
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions
  • Practice techniques safely and in accordance with instructions
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding other participants
  • Comply with all health and safety protocols

KSTI reserves the right to dismiss any participant who violates this code of conduct, with no refund provided.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that participation in hands-on training involves inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with program participation.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, KSTI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or participation in our programs.

Professional Practice: KSTI certification does not constitute a license to practice. You are solely responsible for ensuring you comply with all applicable state and local regulations governing your professional practice.

8. Rescheduling and Program Changes

KSTI reserves the right to reschedule, relocate, or modify program dates and locations due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled participants and offer alternative dates. If alternative arrangements are not acceptable, a full refund will be provided.

9. Photography and Marketing

By participating in KSTI programs, you consent to being photographed or recorded for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in marketing materials, you must notify KSTI in writing prior to program commencement.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

11. Modifications to Terms

KSTI reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
